Pastel Tablescape on a Budget

So, I have been in a serious Spring Cleaning mood. Pulling out winter clothes. Trying to minimize. It’s been exhausting. The work, however, has finally begun to pay off. This includes having my dining area clear and clean enough to decorate for Spring/Easter.

The other benefit is I have found a lot of goodies I already owned. This Tablescape was made with previously owned items, except for the plastic eggs as someone (I am looking at you, David) left last years outside exposed in the garage and they are now forever “outdoors” eggs if you get me. Let’s just say the plastic eggs had some eggs of their own. Moving on…

Starting from the beginning…

Clean, fresh start

In my cleaning, I came across this infinity scarf that was in a bright Spring shade of violet. = FREE

Fun scarf for the center

Last year, I bought this sweets stand from the Target Spot for a party. Only $3 then, but up cycled here. = FREE

Previously owned sweets stand

I then placed some vintage glassware out. Most were inherited, the remainder were thrifted. Approximate accrued cost $7, but upcycled here. = FREE

Add vintage glassware

Here’s the only new purchase. As I mentioned, last year’s plastic eggs gained a new life, so I started fresh. Bag of eggs $3

Add plastic eggs

Tossed in a little bunny flair. This is literally the remains of a bunny garland that I am repurposing here. = FREE

Bunny trim

And voila! The result. A very inexpensive spring upgrade.

The results. Total cost

Stay tuned as I spruce up the rest of the house for Easter.

Are you doing any Spring cleaning? How about decor?
