Ready for a Ride?

Hallmark certainly threw us for a flip this season with its new drama, Ride. Yes, a drama. And, yes, that Hallmark Channel. The one we know and love, and sometimes groan at, for those comfy, cozy, always working out in the end romance Hallmark.

Hallmark Channel

Centered around a rodeo family, I assure you this show offers all the excitement of bull ride and enough turns for any barrel race. From the very first episode, the horses are out of the stables and they are running wild and there is no absolutely NO assurance that everything will work out.

That said, you can count on certain things in a Hallmark production, and they are: a very beautiful cast, and one anchored by strong female leads. In this case, enter one of my long-time favorites, Nancy Travis.

Nancy Travis as Isabel McMurray

Fan girl moment - I have been obsessed with Nancy Travis since she popped up in an almost forgotten 90s sitcom “Almost Perfect”. While the show didn’t last, I knew she would and if you haven’t seen “So I Married an Axe Murderer'“, don’t speak me until you do. LOL

That said, the whole cast is wonderful. And personal note, thank you Hallmark for creating a show about western/country people that are intelligent, who don’t sound like caricatures, and who have love lives that include LGBTQ story lines. Truly, Kudos!

I had the pleasure of interviewing one of those very talented cast members for my friend Di over at FSM Media.

I talked with Beau Mirchoff who is a real horse riding young man of immense talent. Many of you may also know him from “Good Trouble”, and I am happy to say to fans of that show, I think you may get to see him there again, as well. Fingers crossed.

So watch the interview above and definitely catch up on the episodes (purposely being vague because it is great and I want you to experience for yourself) because there is some exciting viewing coming your way. Watch and come back to tell me, who wants a season finale viewing party? Tell me below and I think I might have one if enough people want to play along with me.

So…

you ready to ride?
