Something is rotten in the state of Texas, the capitol in fact. The hilarious musical centering on the wanna-be playwriting Bottom brothers has made its way to Bass Concert Hall in Austin.
Nick and Nigel sit in the shadow of Shakespeare’s success until a soothsayer foretells the future of theatre – Musicals! The two hapless fellows then embark on writing the world’s first musical. With all the flash and panache that any good musical extravaganza should have, there is great heart in the journey of two artists looking for success in love and life.
And as a bonus to the Austin audiences, several of the original Broadway cast members are reprising their roles! Broadway has truly come to Austin.
Check it out in its limited run at Bass Concert Hall. It may be the most beautiful “Rotten” thing you have ever seen!
