A Journey Home

How does one become part of a family? Each of us has a different story told and retold. For me, I laugh at the pictures of a nurse handing me to my mother in the front seat of the car. Times have certainly changed. That said, it creates a touchpoint for my mother to continue the tale of my coming home.

But what if I could remember that day?

I received a copy of From the Pocket of an Overcoat for the purpose of this review.

Aslyn loves Max

Meet Max

Max is a tiny kitten that we follow from a pocket in an overcoat of a woman living on the streets to life on a farm. Throughout we hear from all of the colorful characters along the way, learning each’s perspective of the world that Max was entering.

Robert Vincent wrote this sweet story in honor of his own adopted cat, Max. In honor of From the Pocket of an Overcoat’s 1st anniversary, he is is providing a little extra love to you and to all cats (and dogs) looking for their own journey home.

Spreading the Love

If you send an email to hello@maxbuckles.com with proof of purchase, you’ll get a special Thank You note from Max himself!!!! In addition, a portion of each book sale will be donated to organizations that promote animal rescue and adoption – The Humane Society, Best Friends, and Alley Cat Allies.

With that, if Max finds a home under your tree, it will help others fid their forever home. Sounds like the holiday spirit to me.

Do you have a special homecoming trip to share?
