Swept Up with the Leaves
Since moving to the northeast, I have been introduced to the beauty of autumn. I have been amazed by the colors to which trees can turn. It is a bevy of jewels up to which I had not borne witness but its colors run from citrine to amethyst (yes, purple! This Southern girl had no idea). All that beauty aside and worthy of its own post, it also has introduced me to its inevitable side effect.

Falling Leaves
Let's talk some tea, or some Salt Creek Coffee if you prefer. It's not just the leaves that has been swept up lately. Much like the smaller leaves curled up and lost under piles of more and more leaves, items from my to-do list have fallen off and been forgotten under more and more undone things.
Autumn Meet Fall
Just like those leaves, more tasks are falling on me before I sweep up the last to the point that I am falling, too.
Here's the question.
What if we look at those leaves as blessings rather than failings? It changes everything, doesn't it?
My life is busy, messy, even. I don't keep it perfectly checked but there is so much for me to be thankful.
I am surrounded by so many blessings, I have enough to fall into a bed of them.
