A Star in My Universe
Why I Love the Olympics
The Olympics has always been a time for me to revisit my personal goals. This time, however, those goals are a little more fun. Check out the Five “pebble” rings.
Happy Beltane!
Last year on “the pebble”, I shared the holiday as a Monday Motivation. While it’s not Monday, the motivation stands.
Wishing you a May filled with inspiration and plenty of fun. Should you need a little motivation, join our movement and become a pebble.
So… How you doing?
So, want to know how the year is going? Here’s your answer in the metaphorical thousand words.
More than Unstuck
Vision is what keeps us uplifted and moving forward in our lives even when we will sightless.
What’s Going On?
Whether you believe there is something after this go or not, life has a journey. And no Hero’s Journey was without peril or loss or fear of failure.
And you are the hero of your life.
Or you should be.
Joan Didion - a goodbye
Ten years ago, I wrote an essay analyzing Joan Didion’s “In Bed”. I found it three days before she passed. I can’t imagine a better tribute than to share this in her honor.
Rest in peace, Joan, not in bed. You earned it.
T-Minus 50
The countdown to my birthday has begun and 50 amazing women are helping me across the finish line
Pink Roses and Me
But, just like these roses with delicate petals at the top of thorns, I'm still trying to bloom. For roses to survive season to season, you cut the rose off at the head, in fact, it's called "dead-head"ing. This harsh tactic creates beautiful flowers with diaphanous wings of petals yet oak-like strength of stems the next Spring.
It’s Spring… So I’ll Follow the Sun
It’s Spring and while it rained in my house and made it a science project, I’ll follow the sun.
Honoring a Hero…
My eyes have been opened and with that, so has my heart. I cannot address this new knowledge with anger. Only love will meet the need. Only love will meet the moment.
Ready to Grow!
Rather than having resolutions that inevitably have an element of success or failure, I am choosing to grow. Growing allows me to acknowledge where change needs to be made and if I revisit the same issue throughout the year, it is only another opportunity rather than a fail.
