When We Last Spoke — Review & Giveaway

Life brings people in and out of our lives. Some for a season and some for a reason, I believe the saying goes. And sometimes, we leave or are left with less than the cleanest of endings.

Do you have someone with whom you wish you could speak again?

I received a copy of the film for the purpose of the Giveaway.
The Opinions are my own. It is my Universe, after all.

“When We Last Spoke” is a film just about that. Panning back and forth between the ‘60s and ‘90s, it follows Juliet and Evangeline, sisters left behind with their paternal grandparents (Melissa Gilbert and Corbin Bernsen) by their flighty mother while their father fights in Vietnam. The arrival of a curmudgeonly great-grandmother who lives somewhere in the past (Cloris Leachman) and these young girls face a lot of grown up subjects that sometimes they don’t quite understand. It seems the adults struggle a bit with understanding, as well.

Thirty years later, these sisters find themselves not communicating much better than the adults of their youth and equally befuddled by some of the same grown-up problems from three decades before. And if sounds like your real-life sibling relationship, there’s a reason for that.

“When We Last Spoke” has a simplicity that carries a truth with it - families are tough. It’s a heartwarming, and sometimes heartbreaking, story of faith and forgiveness. And now this family-friendly film is available on DVD and Amazon Prime. You can check out all viewing options: https://www.whenwelastspokemovie.com
