Saltwater Streams

This is a poem I wrote in honor of my brother. Saltwater StreamsUnder the shadow of a tree, yourmonument stands. Curved in rootsand carved in stone. Life swirls atyour feet and death at your head. Swimming in a sea of grass, marble shipsof grey and white do their worst againsta phoenix rising in flames daily with thesun and a lady in bloom dancing at night. Streams of saltwater have etched valleysbursting forth frothy and full of burdenscarried yesterday and the next. Weightslifted on the gossamer of angels.
