May is Military Appreciation Month, In honor of that and Memorial Day, many companies reach out to veterans, as well as active-duty military with discounts. As you know, I love, Love, LOVE when organizations put actions behind their words and say thank you to our brave service men and women. So today, I'm shining a Star-Light on these offers. Please share them with the military friends and family in your life.On Monday, Lowe's and Home Depot will offer a 10% discount (up to $500) to Vets on Monday. This discount applies to active duty all year long. Please check with your store for any limitations or restrictions. General Motors has the GM Military Program. They offer discounts on new purchases and leases. In honor of Military Appreciation month, they will also give an honorary coin and a $100 donation to Cell Phones for Soldiers every day in May. Check out their Facebook Page for details. On Monday, Hooters is offering 10 Free Wings with the Purchase of a drink. Please bring proof of service. Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores are offering a 10% discount to military and their families. Check out the details here.On Monday, Tanger Outlets is offering the following: The National Park system is offering current military members and their families an America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Annual Pass for free this summer. It allows access to over 2,000 national parks and normally sells for $80. Check out the details on the PCS Lodging site. (This is not available to veterans and retirees.)And Memorial Day is a great time to remind that the Anheiser-Busch parks including Seaworld offer the Here's to the Heroes program all year.So a thanks to these organizations but most of all, thanks to all the men and women who have ever served.And to those, who have made the ultimate sacrifice and their families, you have my unworthy but heartfelt thank you.
