What's Happening -- Cheyenne Designs Mineral Make-Up

One of the lovely things that having a blog has brought me is the opportunity to try out products. For ages, I have heard commercials for mineral make-up and thought of trying it. Well, the folks over at Cheyenne Designs allowed me to try out their powdered foundation, setting powder, and a facial soap. The mailman brought me a smile with this package:And I couldn't wait to break them out to try. First, let me say that the Rosemary Goat soap is FABULOUS! I love it. It has a nice lather, leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth without feeling dry, and my blackheads have cleared up! There is an exfoliant on the bottom which is terrific. Finally, it lasts forever. After two weeks of using it 2x daily, it looks the same as when I received it. (The one thing I would say is that it should be kept on a dish as it does leave a residue when put down wet.) I will definitely be buying this for myself. But at this rate, it will be a while. Now, for those of you asking, "what about the makeup, Traci?" here is a pic by pic. Warning, I am starting out with a complete no makeup picture. So this is our starting point. One of the problems that I have with make-up is that I am very pale. I mentioned this and Cheyenne Designs indicated that they have a color called Nude Opal for fair skin with pink undertones. Woo hoo! Here I am with just the foundation. (Ignore my bad self-photography.)It's a really good color match. I have never had a foundation match my neck so well. The make up is very smooth and has a nice sparkle to it. Here I am with full make-up set with the finishing powder.I feel like the overall look is pretty good. My review, therefore, is mostly good. I am not accustomed to a loose powder foundation and I found it a little hard to control. At times, I found it a little heavy but they may be due to my inexperience. In short, I have continued to use the make-up so I think that is the biggest statement of all.A big thank you to Cheyenne Designs for sharing their product with me. Please check them out. They are priced VERY reasonably, especially compared to other mineral products out there. Also, Cheyenne Designs is a momma out there doing her thing and I always have to cheer that!
