A Time to Mourn and a Time to Dance

I thought today's post would be the beginning of several recounting the wonderful and challenging trip my family and I took to Disney World. When we pulled the RV back into the driveway, I was bursting with stories and pictures and simply too much to say.But then, we received news of tragic proportions. My family has suffered a loss for which I have few, if any words. I cannot express the cacophony of emotions that are swirling in my mind and heart right now. And while, the lesson I learned after losing my brother so many years ago was definitely to choose life, there is a time for everything. As expressed so beautifully in Ecclesiastes, there will be a time to dance and indeed, I will share my memories, thoughts, and pictures of our blessed trip but today, I mourn. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:2 a time to be born and a time to die,a time to plant and a time to uproot,3 a time to kill and a time to heal,a time to tear down and a time to build,4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,a time to mourn and a time to dance,5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,6 a time to search and a time to give up,a time to keep and a time to throw away,7 a time to tear and a time to mend,a time to be silent and a time to speak,8 a time to love and a time to hate,a time for war and a time for peace. If you pray, I wouldn't mind a few today. I have been torn and I need time to mend. Later I will speak but today, I choose silence. And yes, soon we will dance.
