Friday Fragments #15 -- Thankful Frags
Welcome to another episode of Friday Fragments and as we officially move into the holiday season, I am sure that I will become more and more fragmented.Thanksgiving has passed and I have to share. I roasted my first turkey. I even have pics to prove!
The turkey turned out beautifully but the dinner did not. My soon-to-be pubescent son decided to be a ridiculous bit of a toot informing us all that Thanksgiving and his family were boring. I may or may not have taken it VERY personally as I had worked so hard. The evening ended well, however, with a game of Monopoly and cuddling up to Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Special.Speaking of the Turkey Day, I heard a new phrase, "Black Friday Eve". What? It's Thanksgiving; not Black Friday Eve. I hate how much of it has become about shopping. That said, Santa has ridden down 34th Street in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, so let the Christmas joy begin...And I can't forget to wish a Happy Hannukah to my Jewish friends or Thanksgiving-kah as a friend called it. I thought this was pretty cute.Total Different Subject: I vote that Dancing with the Stars get a new theme song or at least play more than the single loop of "Whoa-oh-oh-ooooh, Whoa-oh I just want to feel this moment" on Good Morning America. It's making me crazy.Speaking of Good Morning America, did you see Monday's Play of the Day with the 5th grade boys rallying around the kindergarten boy with the speech difficulty. If you ever doubt that the future generations can be capable of greatest, watch these boys. They give me so much hope! Finally, a funny moment from Little Diva:Little Diva is holding a strip of packaging to the cookie dough under her nose. She looks to me and says, "Mommy, do you think I should trim my mustache?" I say, "You're so silly". She retorts, "No, Mommy, I am a serious English man". So there you go.
