This is among the Rankin/Bass collection that defined holidays for me as a child. Fully drawn rather than using stop-motion animation, it has a happier, brighter look than its cinematic cousins and was always one that I awaited most eagerly on broadcast TV. I even watched it last night with my kiddos. Its song is still sweet, Professor Hinkle is still sinister, and the scene where Karen is sitting in the pool of water where Frosty has melted is still devastating.
