Advent Calendar Day 9 - Scrooged

A modern classic, "Scrooged" updates "A Christmas Carol" in a fun and unique way. Now I must confess I am a sucker for the Christmas Carol (which is still to come). The sense of redemption that Christmas provides spoke to my soul many years ago and Bill Murray was perfect casting. His natural curmudgeon style played very well into the character and the all-star cast is pitch perfect. A grown-up version with a series of flippant Spirits, it is humorous without losing sight of the original meaning.It also has several very kitschy 80s moments including Solid Gold Dancers and a flip-flopping Mary Lou Retton. I highly recommend a viewing.16 days to Christmas...Click below to go to my Advent Calendar.
