Advent Calendar Day 15 – The Santa Clause

This is the first movie my husband and I saw as a married couple. It was Christmas Eve and we had been married a total of 6 days. A year later, I gave the video as a gift to my parents. It was the first Christmas after my brother's death and I hoped it would cheer their holiday. So this movie represents much more to me than found on first glance. It bookends a monumental year in my life.
Advent Calendar Day 15 - The Santa Clause
As to the movie, it is an interesting look at disconnected families and how the magic of the holiday can bring families back together. Whenever I watch it with my kids, it is as poignant to me as it is humorous.
It has successors but of the three, this one is my favorite.
