Tackle It Tuesday #3 -- ReDoing the Bedrooms

Bricks-AFTER1.jpg

When we moved into our house almost two years ago, I had so many plans. And we all know what happens when you're busy making plans. So of course, very little of the plans have been realized. I am trying hard to remedy that with a weekly (read hopefully more than once a month) project. My kids have decent rooms but there is not much style to them. They are not very invested in them and I am hoping that if I can get them excited about their rooms, they might be more committed to keeping them clean and nice. A girl can hope!My son loves, Loves, LOVES Minecraft and LEGOs. He's ten so of course, that is no surprise. Nonetheless, it is one of the few things that get him excited. So I decided to redo his room in that theme.I have neither the time nor the money to do everything all at once so I started with his bed and the wall where we place his bed. This is the before picture.Bricks Before I took some inexpensive cardboard bricks that Sonny-Bunny had long since stopped playing with and used Contact Poster labs to stick them to the wall without damaging the wall.Bricks I then added a pixal-ated looking blue camo bedding set (Target) and two video game posters.Bricks AFTER He actually got excited and I feel pretty proud.
