Big Hearted Friday #7 -- 40 Boxes in 40 Days
With Lent, I am trying to recommit to our Big Hearted Family goals. We set a goal of removing 40 boxes/bags from our home. I have said it before but it bears repeating. We have too, TOO much stuff. One of the reasons I wanted to join the Big Hearted Family project was to teach my children just how blessed they were and offer them opportunities to share with others. Some days this has been easy. Remember this post? And some days have not been easy. Little Diva had a complete meltdown when she saw a bag of clothes that I had pulled from her room. They were too small but she didn't want to let them go. I chose to let her have them back but talked to her about rethinking the choice.Today, though was a really good day. Both Sonny-Bunny and Little Diva put on their generous hearts! In about four hours, we did this:
W filled eight bags of giveaway and 2 more bags of trash and recycle! Woo Hoo! Sonny-Bunny gave toys and books plus clothes. Little Diva not only gave a lot of her "pretty" clothes but among the toys she shared Princess dress-up! Those who know her know that is huge!
I am really proud of both of them!
Big thanks to Big Hearted Families for encouraging us to open her hearts and home!
