Thankful Thursday #3
It's Thursday and I am again joining my friends, Helen and Shelley, to share in saying "Thanks"!
I have been given a lot of reason to express gratitude. The week started with the STAAR test and while no, I'm not thankful for the test, I am thankful for the support, my son and I received. When facing a difficulty, it always helps to know that we I am not alone! As John and Paul wrote, "I get by with a little help from my friends."On that note, Sonny-Bunny survived the test and was in much better spirits. I am still deciding how best to handle future tests but I am thankful that we have scaled this obstacle. I am always thankful for him and no matter what the test says, I am immensely proud of him.On a heavier note, I am thankful for my husband. Yesterday, a tragedy took place at Fort Hood. My husband and I were there two weeks ago to the day. We were in the building where the event took place. When I heard the news, my breath caught in my lungs and I had to say thanks for not being there yesterday. My prayers go out to the victims and their families. When it comes down to it, I am mightily blessed by my family. They are the air in my lungs and the blood in my veins. They are my morning sun and evening moon. With less metaphorical flourish, they are my life. I am thankful for them. What are you thankful for today? Add your link and share your Thursday Thanks!
