What's Happening - Dirty Dancing; The Review

WH-Logo.jpg

WH Logo Sometimes being a blogger can be really fun and Tuesday night was on elf those times. With one of my dearest blogger and IRL friends, Priscilla AKA Wheelchair Mommy, I attended Opening Night for Broadway in Austin's "Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage". It was a fun and energetic rendering of one of my all-time favorite films!DD07-2I admit to being both excited and skeptical to see the translation of the film to stage. I am happy to say that the show is very true to the film. The songs we loved so much are sung incredibly by two side characters and a live band on stage. The dancing is every bit as good on stage as it was on film. All of my favorite moments were there! Jillian Mueller as Baby was terrific casting. Her early awkward moments and dance on the bridge were as endearing as those by Jennifer Grey. Every line you know by heart is there and the audience responds with fervor. In fact, I felt the best part, however, is how engaged the audience was. The love for the show is palpable.I did have the time of my life and I think you will, too!I've Had the Time of My Life Here are the details so you can get in on the fun!
