Friday Fragments #56
Good Friday, everyone! Today my fragments are coming via the hilarious things that Little Diva and Sonny-Bunny have said or done these last couple of weeks. Here they are chillin' in Galveston:

The other day we were watching "Princess Bride". Sonny-Bunny was so sure that he didn't want to watch. He was, however, outvoted. After five minutes of visible pouting, he snuggled in with his dad. The boy did not look away from that screen. Little Diva left the room and I was working on a project while half-watching. He never asked for it to be stopped. In fact, he talked about the movie for a solid five minutes after it finished. He was Fred Savage's character brought to life.Eleven is a funny age...

Speaking of Princess Bride, Little Diva was talking about Robin Wright's hair. I noted that her hair was much the same except Wright's was a little more golden. She then said, "But my hair has sand in it". This made my mom and I laugh out loud. We have long told her that she had a "sandy blonde". It is so funny to hear one's words come back at you through a child's filter.

I have started doing Jamberry nails and of course, Little Diva wants to, as well. She asks for the oil for her "cuticle cord". I said "honey, it's just cuticle, there's no cord".She then replies, "oh, yeah. What is the cuticle cord that comes out with the baby?""Umbilical cords, honey. Umbilical cords.""Oh yeah. I guess that's different than my nails.""Uh... yeah."

And to finish our conversation fragments:SonnyBunny calls me MomLittle Diva: I don't like it when you call Mommy, "Mom"SB: This is me now.LD: I don't like the new you.The funniest part of this conversation is that they have been getting along better lately than they have in years.
