Sundays in My City #135 - A Diva's Birthday
After having to leave Little Diva's shared #DisneySide party with her Nana last week (due to illness), I was intent on making the actual day something special. Over the week, we had made plans. Plans that evidently meteorological forces did not agree to. Poor thing had her birthday re-calibrated three times, once in a rainy SeaWorld parking lot. After that, we tried for a last minute go at Chuck E. Cheese. Now you know I love my daughter if I venture into CEC on a Saturday afternoon. But when she hit the ticket jackpot, I got the payoff.
Birthday Jackpot!
Afterwards, we joined her cousins for a fun dinner and playtime. She loves her cousins so much and especially enjoys playing with the two younger ones. She tries so hard to "set a good example" and be a "big" girl. Finally, we had an old-school birthday party at the trailer. She helped decorate the store-bought cake (I was baked out after the previous party) and proudly counted out her eight candles. Eight??? Where does the time go?Today we begin our Star Family Travels in earnest and my daughter begins her ninth year of life. What a big day it is, indeed!
