Friday Fragments #61
It's Friday and I thought I would get back to some Fragging.

If my failing eyesight wasn't enough to tell me I was getting old, a recent concert made it clear. The phrase goes, "If the music is too loud, you're too old." Than elderly I am. A dear friend and I went to see a band play live, something I used to do all the time but is a rarity among rarities these days. It was in a warehouse like space -- basically empty except for a stage on one end and a bar at the other. Along the sides, there were a few couches and benches and in our aged state, we grabbed one. Then the concert began. The music was good, at times even great, but the volume was absolutely painful. They were playing a stadium in less than 1000 sq. feet. It was so bad I tore my napkin, balled it, and stuck it in my ears. So, yeah, I guess I am old.

Along the same lines, aging can bring positive changes. I have decided that I will no longer avoid doing things I enjoy just because I am not particularly good at them. For example, I enjoy bowling. I really do, but I am not a good bowler. I might even be an awkward, bad bowler. Embarrassment used to stop me but no longer. Bowling is fun not brain surgery so my score of 67 isn't going to kill anyone.

That's my frags for today. I know there are plenty of things in pop culture I could discuss, e.g. Bruce Jenner, Grey's Anatomy, and Kanye West, but they have enough people talking about them without my one and a half cents.Do you have any Frags to share? Those little stories and thoughts that don't warrant their own post but are on your mind. Mrs. 4444 over at Half Past Kissin' Time has the solution, Friday Fragments!
