My kids are screen kids. I admit it. Judge if you must.  We do put limits but I am very aware that they are very liberal limits in many eyes. Minecraft, especially, has a hold on both kiddos.I love it, then, when there is something that the kids love to play that is not screen-related. In our house, that's Legos. Both kids love them. They will play on their own, they will play side-by-side, and sometimes when the stars are aligned in a happy place, they will play with each other. Whichever path they choose, I can count on happy, focused kids for a good while. (And when you're living full-time in a travel trailer, those moments are precious indeed.During my amazing time at Mom 2.0 Summit, I got to check out the Lego playroom.Trust me, this room was a dream come true for my kiddos. And the lovely hosts sent me home with a yellow box. A yellow box filled with classic Legos. Score one for mom.We have been playing with Legos since forever. There was the Duplo followed by the large Legos and now rooms filled with feet killers Legos.Now a good blogging mom would have gotten beautiful pristine pictures of the Lego box before it became forever entwined with the larger Star family collection, but this is me. And these are my ridiculously very impatient children. I had hardly given hugs and delivered souvenirs that the box was open and shared, with each other and the many Lego friends.I honestly didn't mind, however. Because they want to #keepbuilding. They aren't fighting for more x-box time and their hands are building with real bricks not digital ones.
