Friday Fragments #4
Welcome back... Whenever I say that, I cannot avoid hearing the tune to the "Welcome Back Kotter" theme song. It was the TV show wherein I fell in love with John Travolta. And as it took place in New York, it falls right in line with this week's frags.

The last few days have been a whirlwind preparing for and actually traveling to New York for Blogger Bash in New York. We were supposed to fly out on Tuesday evening. We wanted to have all morning Wednesday to explore before our events that afternoon. Instead, the airline moved the first half of our flight without adjusting any of the transfers which would have left before the delayed flight would arrive. When I called asking how I would get from landing in Detroit to New York, they had no options until the next day. This wasn't the best start to our trip and I am not particularly pleased at the airline. After an early morning flight and a rain delay, however, we made it. So yay!

New York has a lot of meaning to me and I am soaking up the city. I have been introduced to two things not here when I left -- Uber and the Freedom Tower. Uber is the app-based driver service. I have had mixed experiences with it ranging from awesome to rude to "I might die today". On the other hand, I am so excited to see the Freedom Tower. As 9/11 was the reason we left New York, nothing raises my spirits better than to see it rise.

Finally, in the "Only Found in New York" file, there is this. So, that's my I <3 NY Frags. What are your fragments of the week?
