What's Happening -- Strings of Time
***
A unique show is coming to Austin this next week. "Strings of Time" tells the birth of our Universe through dance. With Aerialist, Flamenco, Contemporary, Tai Chi and three types of Indian dance styles (Kathak, Bharatanatyam and Kalari) and a soundtrack of stringed instruments, science and mystic philosophy come together in a family-friendly artistic vision. These various forms of dance and music merge to create the symphony of the universe featuring choreography by Geeti Shirazi Mahajan–Ravaan Persian Dance Company, Divya Dinakar–Agni, the Dance Company, Genevieve Guinn–Pink Flamenco, Preya Mangalat Patel–Devi School of Dance, Varsha Bankapure-Jawadekar and NrityaVarsha–NrityaVarsha Dance Academy, Annelize Machado–Maraa Dance Theater, and Tanya McCown–Four Elements Aerial & Creative Movement. It looks really interesting to me and I am excited to take my kids. If you'd like to join me, see ticket information below.
