Friday Fragments #24

Friday Fragments with Star2

Welcome to Friday Fragments. If you haven’t fragged before, Friday Fragments is a place to share those thoughts, quips, and tidbits that don’t quite make a whole post, e.g. fragments or frags. I host every Friday and would love for you to join in. Please link up and visit other Fraggers.

It's Friday and I almost forgot! Honestly! We have been getting into the swing of the holiday and the end of my school semester and cleaning out my parents' garage and ... and... you get the idea. I literally did not know what day it was until I went to bed last night. I sat up and went "the fragments!!!!"  So, here I am before 6:00 am, typing in the dark. All made worse by the fact that my left shift key has decided to stick. AARGH! as Charlie Brown would say. But it is Friday and you're here, so I am going to make it the best frags possible, shift key be darned.

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday, a few fun things have begun. First, our Elf on the Shelf, Jeffrey has arrived. I know there are some EoS haters, so fair warning -- avert your eyes.

He was a day late so he left a note indicating that he went to our trailer in Galveston instead of my parents' home where we were. This is our third year and the kids love it. My daughter who I suspect has entered her Polar Express year (she's 8 and VERY inquisitive) was so excited when she saw Jeffrey's return that she ran through the house screaming, "Jeffrey!!! Jeffrey's back!"
Mrs. Claus, however, may be a little tired as she tends to forget that Jeffrey needs to move the night before and has to get up extra early.

Okay, non-Elf fans, you may look back at your screen. I have also brought back my annual online advent calendar.

This year I am counting down the days with pictures of my dachshund. In my limited <html> skill set, I haven't figured out to embed the calendar. If you'd like to check it out in all of its glory, you can go here . That is, unless, you are a hater of dogs dressed up. You might want to look away, too, as here is a peek at one of said pics.

Finally, another funny from my Little Diva. At Thanksgiving, she was playing with her 4 year old cousin. He had a play sword. She grabbed it, held it aloft (He-Man style), and declared, "I am a princess. You can tell because I have a sword!" I love it. As she once (inappropriately) told me, she's a bada$$ princess.

To my friends celebrating the Festival of Lights over the next week, Happy Hannukah!!!

That's the frags for me. What has happened in your week?
