Star-Gift-Guide.jpg

gift, guideIt's that time of year when we remember that giving is better than receiving. That is until we stress out trying to find the right gift. So this holiday, I am sharing some of the wonderful items I have discovered this year.

I am an Amazon affiliate and the guide below does include affiliate links.

Here are a few of the books I have found along the way: My friend, Austin author Britney King, has had a busy year. This summer, she completed the Bedrock trilogy and just this month she came out with Anywhere With You, the eagerly awaited follow up to her romance Somewhere With You.The Bedrock Trilogy is a titillating and thrilling look at the choices one woman makes to keep it together and what happens when a choice of passion causes it all to unravel.

Earlier this year, I reviewed Touch. It is a crazily readable look at why touch matters. It is funny and informative!

As a part of my YouTube series with Priscilla aka Wheelchair Mommy, I read The Girl on the Train. It is an unexpected read full of turns and and interesting (if questionably likable) characters.

Here are a few of my recent favorite books:Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is a wonderful and unusual read. Narrated by a teenage boy that learns his beloved grandfather was more special than he knew. There is intrigue and drama. In fact, I just began book two, Hollow City...And I'm looking forward to book three... And finally, my favorite book in a long time: Before I Go to Sleep. I don't want to say anything and risk spoiling anything. Just read it because it is so good!

And Two For the Kiddos

My longtime friend, Marni Penning Coleman is the illustrator on a lovely set of books following a fellow named P.J.They are so cute and my children have a copy in their library! More travels are to come!

It seems I am surrounded by talented friends because another Austin friend, Jamie Dorobek, wrote a book, too! Videos of Little Diva are coming!

So those are just a few suggestions. I think books always make great gifts! Happy Holidays!
