#ILookToHer, #FTDFlowersIs there a woman in your life that you look to? Most of us would answer “of course!” And while I have been blessed with many wonderful women, there is no question who tops my list – my mom! She is a loving, generous person who always goes beyond the call of duty. I learn from her still. When FTD Flowers offered me a bouquet as part of their #ILooktoHer campaign, it was a no brainer. I look to my mother everyday. FTD knows that while Valentine’s Day is an opportunity to celebrate woman in a romantic way, there are so many other special women in our lives. With the #ILooktoHer campaign, they are celebrating the women who make our lives and the world better.

Why #ILooktoHer...

My mother is my role model. She was a great mom, to start. She was the surprise-waiting-on-your-bed mom. She was the stay-up-ALL-night to help you finish the long-procrastinated project mom. She was the kiss-it-and-make-it-all-better mom. She is the one-you-want-to-call-when-your-faith-is-failing mom as my cell phone log can attest. She is a wife of almost 50 years. She is a caring daughter and loyal sister. She is filled with so much love for her fellow human no matter where they came from, how they pray, or what they look like. She sees them to a one as God’s creation and therefore worthy of her full respect. This above all has informed the way I see the world.Pretty obvious why I look to her. I had more than one reason to send my mother flowers this month, however. She has a February birthday – the 22nd to be exact. Being an amethyst baby, I chose this beautiful lavender rose selection with a purple vase to keep.#ILooktoHer, flowers, bouquetBased on this reaction, I think I did okay.#ILooktoHer, FTD Flowers, bouquetWho is the woman to whom you look?

A big thank you to FTD for providing me this lovely opportunity to celebrate the woman I love most.
