Friday Fragments #43 - The Soaked Edition
It's that time again. Happy Friday to everyone!
First, I must start with the floods here in Houston. Wow! We are finally seeing sun but so many houses are still under water. I am extremely thankful that my parents' home was spared.
Other than a little water in their garage, they stayed high and dry. Prayers for those that were not so lucky.
Here's a little look at our Day Three: I'm ready to get my cabin-fevered children out of the house!

Speaking of cabin fever, I was super productive this week! Being locked inside can be very motivating. I have been going to town on clearing out my parents' garage and a room that had a lot of left behind things. I am amazed that there is still so much after all the minimization we did before embarking on our journeys. It really is eye-opening.
What a privileged life I have led to accumulate so much. I can't imagine what our home would be like if we did not do this. It's sadly easier to descend into hoarding than one might think. We are bringing in much less these days but we still consume too much. Always a place for improvement!BTW, my other reality TV show addiction -- "Hoarders" on A&E.

Happy Earth Day! Today is another good reminder that I need to consume less. Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle! As they say, she's the only Earth we have, let's take care of her. It's also, the one thing we all have in common with each other. We truly are one race with one home!

Finally, I cannot let the day pass without noting the loss of a true artistic legend. R.I.P .Prince. Much like David Bowie a couple of months ago, his death marks the end of a soundtrack to my life. His musical ability was beyond measure and truly inspirational.

That's my fragmented scraps for the week. I hope you all have a wonderful week.
