What's Happening Weekend #2
It's another fun weekend for Austin families who love theatre! Pollyanna Theatre Company will be showing Young Bear: Inspired by the True Story of Frances Slocum. Written by Lou Clark, it will be playing May 14 - 22, 2016 at the Long Center.
Young Bear
Young Bear is a newly written play by Lou Clark, inspired by the life of Frances Slocum, a five year old girl who, in 1778, was taken to live with a Delaware Indian family in the Midwestern United States. The play is a condensed version of her journey, based upon events in her early life, which examines two very different cultures and how they clashed as seen through the eyes of a child.

This class is exactly what it says it is! These very fun classes are a mix of music, singing, puppetry, storytelling, and theatre games. A perfect introduction to our year-round classes for very young children. A great way for your child to find out if this style of creative activity is right for them without having to commit to a full semester of their time and focus.
