Earth Day Every Day

April 22nd is Earth Day and we all rediscover our desire to recycle and use cloth napkins. Like January 1st, however, the resolve to save the world fades as the calendar pages turn. I find this is especially true the bigger the green resolution we make.

This is why I talked #earthdayeveryday on several episodes of “the pebble”, including this one with my friend Isabel.

It’s not just for a day

Life is hard and it is so easy to look at the problems with the environment and say, “I didn’t do all that, so how could I possibly fix all that?”

Many Hands… Many Pebbles

You’d be right. You didn’t do a n-th of it. Nor did I.

All I am asking of us is to do a little better. A pebble’s worth. Since recording this last year, I have struggled in places and learned new ways to do better. It is a constant journey. As Dory said, “just keep swimming”.

There is no giving up. This is our home. Yesterday was yesterday. Today is Earth Day no matter what the calendar says.

What is one thing you can do a day that is better for the earth?
