Let’s Make Sustainability Sustainable

Talking with Lacie is a bright ray of light. She makes being more conscious and conscientious about sustainability feel sustainable. (See what I did there?) Seriously, though, it’s about doing what you can consistently rather than trying to be perfect and feeling like a failure so you give up. Who’s done that? This girl, for sure!

We Can’t Do It All. We Can Do Something.

Perfection can be the enemy of progress as the old saying goes and that is absolutely true when it comes to helping Mother Earth. Whether it’s hoarding out the house because we feel like we have to. recycle everything and then giving up and taking all of it out to the bin, or feeling overwhelmed by the size of the problem and wanting to pull the covers over our head, it is easy to think that if “I can’t solve the problem, then I shouldn’t bother”.

Everything you do matters

What Lacie reminds me of, and why I had her on “the pebble” is that it is no one person’s job to fix it. One person can't fix it. It is, however, possible for each of us to make it better. If each of us did even one thing better, the cumulative change would be extraordinary. That is the power we have. That is the power of the pebble.

I hope you will watch the episode and choose to #bethepebble. Little choices can make big impacts and positive choices have power.

How will you make an impact today?
