A Food Revolution

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world...

You say you got a real solution
Well, you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know
We’re all doing what we can

This is a revolution and I’m here for it!

I’ve been so sick for so long and so much is out of my hands.

In my year of growth, however, I am attacking those things within my sites.

Today’s battleground is the diet. I’ve tried before and quickly retreated behind my battlements with white flag in tow.

Why?

Usually, complexity or extremity that made the effort undesirable. Double that if it wasn’t kid-friendly. No, my Texan teens are not suddenly going vegan and eating tofu cheese on their pizza. In fact, their NY-Italian dad will probably divorce me and take the kids with him.

And I don’t love the kitchen. If it takes an hour to prep, you’ve lost me. Simply put, I’m not a great cook, and I’ve never aspired to be.

Enter my friend, Alecia AKA @anxiousbynature . She’s a true farm gal, wife and mother of four princesses, and cook. A good cook, but also a practical, planning cook.

She’s worked with me to create a menu that works with what my doc wants, what my tummy wants, and what I still like, all within what my wallet can handle! Yeah, she did that!

She created my menus, grocery lists, and recipes and I will be sharing my journey here. I hope you follow me in food revolution.
