A Scream Worthy Sunday

Sunday brought screams of fright and delight to my kids. Why was that? We hit Seaworld Texas! I have spoken before about how much I appreciate the Anheuser-Busch parks and there “Here's to the Heroes” programs. We have thankfully benefited from that wonderful program but this weekend, I was invited to attended a VIP Media Party for the Howl-o-Scream. (Yes, I said VIP Media -- makes me sound important, huh? Giggle, giggle.)

So, thanks to Seaworld's kind invitation, I got into the park free. Yay! But could this mom go to Seaworld without her kids? Nope... so I brought my kiddos and took advantage of the great deal they are running on the Fun Card. If you buy the 2013 Fun Card, you get the rest of 2012 for free. So my kids are now set for the next 14+ months!!!

Big Kid Rides

We rode rides. My soon-to-be nine year old rode his first roller coaster -- The Steel Eel. The first hill is very steep and he literally looked like he was on a G-Force machine. He was gritting his teeth and his little cheeks were waving in the wind but after he survived the first two, he started laughing hysterically and yelling "wicked awesome!" When he got off, he turned me and said, "I'm a man now". It was truly a moment I will take with me.

We trick-or-treated through a “Fanta-sea”.

Can you tell me how? How to get to… to Sesame Street?

We met Zoe and the Count from Sesame Street!

I see one cute girl. I one happy mom.

This was a special moment for my daughter. She has loved Zoe for years and has a Zoe stuffed animal that is well worn. She also loved, Loved, LOVED the Sesame Place park. So big wins for both!

Happiness is…

That evening, we met a very spooky guy named Jack! He is a part of several shows including the Monster Stomp which I was invited to see.

The most fun ever to visit death

And I survived meeting the Grim Reaper! Another VIP treat, though meeting Death may not always be as cool as it was that night. :-) It was a wonderful day all in all.

Sooo much fun, we screamed about it

Thanks to Seaworld Texas for letting me share in the thrills and chills!
