Sundays in My City #49 -- Inner Space

Living in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Austin is surrounded by a wealth of underground beauty. A series of caverns run throughout and this week my daughter's class visited Inner Space Caverns which runs along the Balcones fault. Here is a peek down below...Here is one of the most stunning views -- this grows 1 cubic inch every century. How amazing is that? After the paleontologists and other teams explored the caverns, these beautiful paintings were done to represent actual animal remains found in the digs. So cool...And finally, here is my star spelunker. To me, she is the greatest view here or anywhere.Check out other Sundays, above and below ground, over at my friend Unknown Mami's place.
