Whats Happening -- Austin's Park
What a Saturday we had! Thanks to the lovely Rebecca of R We There Yet, Mom?, my family and I had the opportunity to visit the newly renovated Austin's Park. In honor of their Tenth Anniversary, the park has replaced 90% of the arcade games, changed out several rides, and completely overhauled their kitchen. Here's a look at the #Supertentastic day we had! They have added theme parties with more group interaction. Here's the Tie Dye room:
And the Glow-in-the-Dark room
Which themes beautifully with a Laser Tag party.
There were new rides to be ridden.
And, no we bloggers didn't leave all the fun to the kids. Here we are on the fire engine ride...
And then I hammed it up on the kiddie coaster...
We had a tour of the kitchen. This always means a lot to me. When a restaurant allows me behind the curtain, I know they are serious about their food. The manager, Sean, told us that he had heard the complaints -- people loved Austin's Park but hated the food. Well, they have attacked that head on.We met the pizza man, Manolo.
Manolo showed us everything that goes into his all hand-made crusts -- note: no dairy.
We had the chance to eat the pizza and I was very impressed by the addition of a Spinach Alfredo to the traditional pizza offerings.
We finished the day with games and of course, Little Diva climbed the Rock Wall.
All in all, a wonderful day. We have attended Austin's Park before and had a good time but frankly it had shown it's age. I was impressed by the changes they have made and are committed to making in the future. My family and I will definitely make the trip again!
