Tackle-It-Tuesday #2 -- Making Progress

Way back in October, I planned to tackle my master closet. It's been the bane of my existence, requiring stepping around and sometimes even over things just to get dressed in the morning. In case you don't remember, this was the before.TiT-1-Collage-300x300Well, despite a ten day trip to Florida, the holidays, and the Plague pneumonia that's been kicking my rear, I have been slowly chipping away at the pile. I don't know if you've heard of the FlyLady but her theory is that any mountain, as Everest-like as it may be, can be conquered 15 minutes at a time. So even though I get tired easily, I can find 15 minutes. And I have definitely made progress.

Every bit of my clothing has been hung or folded. The baskets are empty!!!!

Look, you can see floor...

I have conquered the clothes! I filled a garbage bag with giveaway. Everything is put away or hung but I need to do more. I still have too much. I need to open my heart and let go of more. FlyLady calls it blessing others and I need to bless a little lot more. While I try to purge further, I have made a commitment. I will not buy any more hangers. If I want to add something to the closet, something needs to go.

Now on to the boxes of paper and junk and the shoes. Hopefully, that Tuesday will come sooner than three months. But whether it's one week or one year, I will get there 15 minutes at a time.

Do you have a project you want to tackle? What is it?

A big thanks to 5 Minutes for Mom. They started the Tackle-It-Tuesday and while they don't host a carnival weekly any more, it is still a source of inspiration for me.
