Friday Fragments #28 - Things That Make You Go Hmmmm...
It's Friday! Are you fragmented? I am! But the good thing is I don't have to Frag alone. I'm joining Mrs. 4444 and her other Fraggin' Friends. We're counting down to her 300th installment with a celebration! 297 and counting...
After entering a second week of illness, my fragments have been limited mostly to what I've seen on TV. Trust me, it still a huge source of "hmmm" worthy items.First, Have you seen this game? The "Doggie Doo" game -- yes, it's exactly what you're thinking! It makes gas sounds which their website actually touts. My daughter sees it and yells "look, Mommy, it's the farting dog!" Then the dog actually makes doo. As Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers used to say, "REALLY?, Really, Doggie Doo?"I honestly don't know how this game got pitched or approved. I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that meeting. If anyone wants their kids to spend an afternoon scooping poo, however, they are welcome at my house anytime. My dachshund is much cuter than the toy -- haha! What do you think? Do you know anyone who has actually purchased this? Did the kids like it? I know we won't be buying it.

As I have become an HGTV Obsessed-TV viewer, I see commercials for a lot of "reality" Tv. I can't help but put reality in quotes because what happens on the shows don't resemble any reality I recognize. Well, there are a few out right now that are making me go hmmmm. There is a show about families move to Alaska. The commercials show them in Spring or Summer so it's absolutely gorgeous and not that cold. A woman says "who wouldn't want to live in Alaska?" Now I am intrigued to see how she feels in February. More intriguing, however, is the train wreck TV. Oprah has been following Lindsay Lohan for a year and given her a show on OWN. I guess it's almost over but somehow I missed this delight. Has anyone watched it? I saw a commercial wherein Oprah was getting mad because she wasn't showing up for the shoots. Who is surprised by that? Not this girl.Sadder to me, though, is Tori Spelling bringing the cameras into her marriage therapy. I know she has lived her life in the spotlight but this doesn't seem healthy. I have actually been a Tori fan since I saw Trick in 1999. For someone raised in such a bizarre life, she has a very self-deprecating humor that I can appreciate. I have to wonder about the therapist who supported this. Is anyone else disturbed by this? All of these things make me want to join in with the CC Music Factory and say hmmm....So happy Friday to everyone. Let me know what makes you go hmmmm and check out other Fragmented Fridays at Half Past Kissin' Time.
