 Today is the last Friday that my little boy will be 11. Tomorrow he turns 12 and one step further into manhood. But he seems to be pushing back just a little. He gave a very detailed list for his birthday (you can find it here) and none of it included a screen! So maybe he's mine for a little bit longer!

Now that we don't have cable full time, I have come to appreciate good commercials. One of my current favorites is the Geico "It's what you do" campaign. There is a hilarious sea monster breaking into a golf match with the commentators continuing to whisper which is hilarious. The best, however, is Europe singing "Final Countdown" to a microwave counting down.I absolutely love this ad!

Last week, I cheered on my Astros. Well, that journey has come to an end. Better luck next year, boys! Since my team is no longer in play, I am cheering on the Chicago Cubs. How fun would it beI am if the Back to Future II prediction comes true.

Finally. the kids and I are going today to see "Goosebumps".  It looks like spooky fun and a great way to start off our birthday celebration!I wish you all a wonderful weekend! Tell me something to celebrate for you.
