You’re here.
That makes you a star.
You ready to #shinebrightly?
Yeah, me too!
Come see me at the place:
A Star in My Universe
Why I Love the Olympics
The Olympics has always been a time for me to revisit my personal goals. This time, however, those goals are a little more fun. Check out the Five “pebble” rings.
Go Thrift or Go Home
My favorite online thrifting source, ThredUp, had a big Earth Month sale including on Premium items. To say I took advantage would be an obscene understatement. Instead, I shall reframe it and say that I used it as an opportunity to demonstrate the quality that is available to secondhand shoppers at ridiculously low prices.
Yeah. Yeah… that’s the ticket.
Happy Beltane!
Last year on “the pebble”, I shared the holiday as a Monday Motivation. While it’s not Monday, the motivation stands.
Wishing you a May filled with inspiration and plenty of fun. Should you need a little motivation, join our movement and become a pebble.
I Believe in Jane
This is the spirit behind the Apple TV+ show, Jane. When the first season premiered last year, I had the great pleasure of talking with the stars Ava Louise Murchison and Mason Blomberg via a roundtable. Aster and Aslyn got in the fun. Inspired by the daily legacy of Jane Goodall, Ava’s character, “Jane” (of course!) and her best friend David take imaginative adventures centering on a different endangered animal in each episode.
Let’s Make Sustainability Sustainable
Talking with Lacie is a bright ray of light. She makes being more conscious and conscientious about sustainability feel sustainable. (See what I did there?) Seriously, though, it’s about doing what you can consistently rather than trying to be perfect and feeling like a failure so you give up. Who’s done that? This girl, for sure!
Earth Day Every Day
All I am asking of us is to do a little better. A pebble’s worth. Since recording this last year, I have struggled in places and learned new ways to do better. It is a constant journey. As Dory said, “just keep swimming”.
A Monday Mindset Reset
Many of us struggle with a feeling of lack. It affects everything we do, even things that have nothing to do with money. This feeling can show up in the work we do. It can cause us to make penny-wise, pound-foolish, or “limiting” choices.
A Tale of 3 Dresses
Have you ever come home excitedly with a purchase you love only to find you already have that item in your closet? I have! It’s not uncommon, at all. Most of us do it and it’s a good news, bad news situation.
Pebbles Home
The walk home can mean a lot of things. To me, it often means a walk to the place where one feels most like oneself. Sometimes it is a literal walk and sometimes it is more of a spiritual journey.
A Gift of Love
It’s an extra long month and that means an extra opportunity to share love. Here is my sweet niece singing her heart out wishing love to the world. We all could learn from her belief in herself and others.
I Needed a Pebble
2023 was a brute of a year and I was not doing those little things for myself as I was out there spreading the word to others to do so. Now that I begin work on Season 2, I am recommitting to living my words, picking up my own pebbles rather than just giving them out.
Back to the Zoo
Sometimes life hands you full circle moments. When it does, don’t skip the chance to jump in the middle. This is true even if it leaves you a little nervous. Mine came when thanks to my friend, Di over at FSM Media, I got to interview Doug and Emily aka Emmy Jo of the New Zoo Revue.
#LearnAboutComposting
May 29th is #learnaboutcompostingday and I don’t know anyone with whom better to have the conversation than Isabel and Lacie about this process. If you are worried that it is smelly and yucky and not for you - that was me, too!
Smell of Success
Alexandra Nolan is a true businesswoman with multiple businesses created and sold under her belt. She is also someone who has had tough days and knows that creating positivity for herself and sharing it with others is valuable. In other words, she is exactly what “the pebble” is about.
Lifecycle of Upcycle
When I learned what food waste was doing to Earth, I doubled down on making composting easier for my family. I know in my house that means putting things right in their face.
Ready for a Ride?
Hallmark certainly threw us for a flip this season with its new drama, Ride. Yes, a drama. And, yes, that Hallmark Channel. The one we know and love, and sometimes groan at, for those comfy, cozy, always working out in the end romance Hallmark.
Knock, Knock
I interview two of the actors of Door Mouse, which is now screening nationally in the United States after its successful Canadien run.
Jane’s Dream Lives
We had the chance to interview these bright actors as a part of a roundup. I was represented here by my best and brightest reps, Aster & Aslyn.
A Perfect Spot for a Review
My sweet nephew and niece have entered the world of film review. They have always been opinionated and now they are sharing them with the world. I think their call name should be the Two A’s.
the pebble has landed
I likely should have said the “the pebble” has launched as Monday was the launch of my new project, but having lived a good deal of my life in NASA-city, I couldn’t resist. Are you really surprised?
