What's Happening -- US Family Guide and Reading Eggs

I have a five year old in Kindergarten just learning the basics of reading and a nine year old in 3rd Grade growing in his reading and falling in love with books. As a mother, I am always looking for ways to support that. And thanks to US Family Guide, I have an opportunity to do that. I have been invited to try out Reading Eggs, a website dedicated to making reading fun while focusing on a core reading curriculum of skills and strategies essential for sustained reading success. It is suitable for children aged 3 through 12.And Reading Eggs has its foundation in good reading not just cute characters... though they are cute (see above)! It was developed by a highly experienced team of teachers, educational writers, animators and web developers. The site uses "games, songs, golden eggs and other rewards" to "motivate children to keep exploring and learning". Any thing that helps my kids associate reading with fun is good with me.So I am excited to report that they are letting me check out the site with a free three month trial. And better yet, my readers can try it out for two weeks. (And no, you don't need a credit card for the trial.) Yay! thanks again to US Family Guide for sharing this opportunity! So please scoot on over to Reading Eggs and see for yourself. I'll let you know how it goes with my kiddos.
