What's Happening -- Mitscoots

I have to admit that I haven't put  a lot of thought into my socks. Shoes? Yes. Socks? Not so much. What few questions I might have asked would be "are they cute?" and "are they sitting right next to the counter at check out?"Thoughts like "where did they come from?" and "did they help anyone?" never entered my consciousness. That is until I learned of Mitscoots. Mitscoots is a company with a mission:

While volunteering with the homeless in 2008, the founders discovered that after food and water, the biggest need was socks.  And of course, that makes sense. If you are walking the streets all day, they are essential to protecting the feet from dirt, cold, blisters... everything. A need I've never had so a need I never considered.An idea came to them... sell high quality socks made in the USA and for each pair sold, the exact pair will be given to a person in need. It gets better... not only are they using an American manufacturing plant but here in Austin, they are employing local people in need. Take a look...Helping the needy and helping people not be needy. I love that.As I continue to walk this journey of finding my purpose, I want to spotlight others who have found their purpose and are doing good in the world. Who knows? Maybe that is my purpose. Mitscoots has just launched and I really hope that you will support them.
