Friday Fragments #36 -- Summer Music

FF-button.jpg

It's our first Friday at home after the last three on the road -- yay! Unfortunately, we came home to no internet -- boo! We just got it as well as cable back last night. This might have been relaxing except I go to school and work online. The hours lost with customer service were not relaxing either. But enough with that. I have internet and I'm here so let's get Fragging.First, did you hear about this guy Jeremy Meeks?  After being arrested and having his picture posted at the local sheriff's FaceBook page, he was declared the "cute criminal"? Women (and I am sure some men) were clicking like on his mug shot.Jeremy MeeksI'm not going to get into whether this guy is or isn't a bad guy. He is married now with a kid and says he is rehabilitated. Clearly he is an attractive man but who "Like"s a mugshot? I didn't know that sheriffs had FB pages much less that people would look through the posts for hot guys. Supposedly, he has received movie and modeling offers while sitting in jail. Something is wrong here.Of course, a great deal of puns came out of it -- my favorite was "clearly guilty of having the hot stuff".

Now we turn to the Music...I heard the Seals & Croft song "Summer Breeze" on the radio and the combination of chord and cow bell in the background kept sounding like my phone. Checking my phone once makes sense, but I am a hard headed girl and I can't tell you how many times in that 3 minute song, I would forget and check again.Either way, it's  great song that brought me back to my phone childhood. Here's the song if you'd like a listen.

The kids have vacation bible school this week and we've had a 15-20 minute drive each way. We have spent the time listening to music. The Daft Punk song "Get Lucky" came on and the kids are singing along happily. Out of nowhere, my son stops singing and asks, "What does that mean 'up all night to get lucky'?" I quickly answer, "Playing games. They want to get lucky at games." He pauses and then nods, "yeah, that makes sense. Gamers stay up all night."I'll leave it to you  if you believe my answer (LOL). Here's the song...Finally, that same boy who believed that answer told his dad he wanted to live the "thug life". His dad asked what that meant and he shrugged. "I don't know but I want it." So I guess we are officially in the tweens.Share your Friday Fragments over at Half Past Kissin' Time.
