The opinions are mine. It is my Universe, after all.
Under normal circumstances, this would be the point in which we, parents, would be appreciating the last few minutes of summer before the barrage of “I’m bored” and “There is nothing to do” begins.
But let’s be honest, there has been nothing normal about 2020.
And as that is true about the outside world, I figured it was the perfect time for changes in our little world. I have de-cluttered and redesigned my house and trying to do the same for my health. Three weeks ago, I started on a journey with Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. Many of you know that I struggle with serious fatigue so my energy level was high on my improvement list. (You can see why I started here.) Better sleep and overall better health were my other goals.
I definitely feel like my energy has improved. I start the morning with the 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Ritual (Learn more about this AM jumpstart here) and while I am still drinking my coffee sweet and light, I am lessening that, as well. Baby steps, people, baby steps. Rome was not built in a day and I am pretty sure it was not built without coffee. (Black coffee is allowed, btw. But I’m not there. I’m. Just. Not. There.)
I can tell you where I am, however. I am with Slow Cooker Braised Pot Roast. And I am really with the leftovers becoming Pot Roast Tacos with Chimichurri. Taco Tuesday, anyone? Looking for something lighter as the mercury soars? How about Spiced Tilapia or One-Pan Garlic Roasted Salmon? Part of my success with this plan is the availability of slow-cooker and one pan options. I am not particularly at home in the kitchen. Like dust off your pans, not at home.
Again, that is the beauty of this plan. I have flexibility with the food lists and recipe options. And carbs. Yes, we have carbs!
“Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”
And while I have never liked calling something you eat a “cheat”, there is an understanding of the need to cheat with this diet (another word I don’t love) lifestyle. Who wants to go to a restaurant or party and feel either deprived or guilty? Not this girl! We’ll just add those two to the list of words I do not like!
Whether you or looking for a lifestyle or actually a diet, Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion offers many options to get to your health goals and it’s available for sale now. Let me know if you join the journey.
